President Gusmão asks PM Alkatiri to resign, but...

Yep. It finally came down to a TV program and you guessed it, it's the good old Aussie TV, the ABC. ABC's 4 Corners aired a report containing damaging allegations against the former minister of interior and the prime minister. The program showed "hit squads" who claimed that they were given weapons by Rogerio Lobato (ex MoI) under orders from the PM to eliminate government and FRETILIN opposition. President Gusmão was handed a copy of the program, he watched and then wrote a letter to the PM asking him to resign. For Liz Jackson, the journalist who made the 4 Corners program, this must be the highlight of her carreer as her work could spell the ddownfall of a democratically elected government. For President Gusmão, basing a decision on a TV program is a joke and laughable. Even his own General Prossecutor has denied that there is any evidence that links the PM to the gun distribution. Well, actually there is an investigation happening you know. I thought everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Or maybe the president reckons that a TV journalist does a better work in investigations compared to his own General Prossecutor? This is where the joke is...

I think the President rushed to decision and ended up making the wrong one, again, just like his address to the nation which sent mixed messages and put a lot of people into panic that there was to be a conflict between the "10" loromonu districts and the "3" lorosae districts...
