Aussie diggers a shame in Timor-Leste...
Diggers, what are ya doing mate???
Government warehouses looted, civilian houses burned, and you just stood there and watched!
Get this diggers: there are nearly 2000 of you guys in Dili, heavily armed with the latest military equipment, armored cars, but the people still live in fear... Why not? How can they not live in fear if all you guys do is to stand and watch as bands of hooligans continue their looting, burning and violence?
In 1999 the TNI did the same thing when the militia went on the rampage and caused so much violence... Are you playing the role of the TNI?
Diggers, it's time to act. Bring back the confidence and trust the East Timorese have in you. In 1999 when you landed in Timor-Leste, everyone hailed you as heroes. Even a few weeks ago when you arrived in Dili airport, locals greeted you as their saviours. But you guys haven't delivered what the locals in Dili were expecting: SECURITY and PEACE!!! Why???
It makes a lot of people wonder. If you can't bring PEACER and SECURITY to the people of Dili, will you be able to bring PEACE and SECURITY to the whole country should it also go in flame? Or are you diggers just serving John Howard's political agenda at the cost of the East Timorese?
You have to act now and act fast. This is it. You will be remembered as heroes as you were in 1999 or as an occupying force like the TNI in the hearts of the East Timorese. The trust and respect in you by the East Timorese are slowly eroding...
Come on Diggers. The East Timorese need you.
